Aaron Funk, i.e. Venetian Snares, is back for the second time in 2006, this time with a storming 6 track 25 minute 25 second EP. His previous excursion 'Rossz Csillag Allat...' was a sublime foray into classical melody and razor sharp breakbeat.

With Hospitality, Funk ups the ante and delivers a wonderful slice of intense yet melodic breakcore. The layering is intricately woven, darting in and out of crazy melodies, breakbeats, rhythm's and stopping before settling thus keeping things very very interesting. There is an underlying sense of melody underpinning the tracks which makes this an easier listen than (say) 'Huge Chrome Cylinder....' and this is a good thing although the out and out madness of Funk's earlier work is highly satisfying. (AM)
